DOMINANTE XXIX was presented to a Jefatura de Cria Caballar, a Qualified Tribunal in Spain and was 1 of 115 stallions out of the first 400 presented achieving “Qualified” status. He is eligible, in the future for “Elite” status.

DOMINANTE XXIX was the first “Qualified” stallion to have been imported into the USA. Codigo 2208049 (born February 17, 2000). Dominante was bred by Yeguada Villa Mazzara near Barcelona, Spain. His Qualification number is A000114. His pedigree represents the extreme athleticism and elegance of the José Luis Esclalera line, with a 7.14% consanguinity to that line. Dominante carries the supremely important blood of LEBRIJANO III as well as GANADOR VIII.




DOMINANTE has been very successful as a P.R.E. breeding stallion, with offspring that are following in their sire's footsteps, winning in the show ring.

Domniante XXIX will stand by private treaty to a limited book of P.R.E. Mares in 2010.
DOMINANTE was shown for the first time in the United States at Celebration 2005, a Spanish Cria approved show, put on by the Foundation for the Pure Spanish Horse. At celebration 2005 Dominante won the 5 –6 year old stallions in hand class, as well as the best movement award for that class. In addition, under saddle, he took first place in 1st level dressage. And finally, Dominante received the very prestigious title of “Campeón de la Raza” of Celebration 2005, the overall Champion Stallion of the show.

Starting in 2005, Dominante was in training with the noted dressage trainer Willy Arts, at his D G Bar Ranch in Hanford California. Dominante successfully competed and won in USDF Open Dressage Shows through Fourth Level.

In October 2008, Dominante came home to Utah and is currently in training with Patti Thurman of Gateway Dressage. In 2009 he will be competing at Prix St. Georges.
